I haven't sunk a great deal of time into the game, but it's fairly neat. MID files) that tries to sound like orchestral rock. The characters are pretty lacking in personality, unfortunately, but there are a lot of them, and at least on the Type-X version, the game can be set to English text. All of the characters are pre-rendered 3D, and the animation is uniformly smooth, though it's occasionally a little stiff-looking. Of particular note is that a couple of characters have mounts that they ride and can be knocked off of. It's a reasonably straightforward 2D fighter at heart, with a liberal dash of D&D, complete with a boatload of items that can impact how you play. In addition to fixing the frame rate issues with the vertical games, the included dlls also fix the video freeze on SF IV and the missing video/ long boot time issues with Matrimelee. On a related note, Chaos Breaker/Dark Awake was originally planned to be a Neo*Geo title (made by Eolith), but crossed platforms a few times over, eventually landing on the Type-X and getting published by Taito.
